Keeping Celery fresh and crisp is essential to keep from wasting food and to avoid flying to the fridge when you are in a great hurry to make supper only to find that the nice, crisp celery you need to whip up your fastest recipe is a rubbery mess or pithy or worse yet, rotten. The simple answer
to keeping celery fresh is to store it in aluminum foil.
Tear off a length of aluminum foil about 1 1/2 times as long as your celery.
Lay Celery lengthwise down the center and fold the middle parts over.
Fold the ends over and "crunch" with your hands so that it will stick together.
Now store this in the vegetable crisper drawer of your refrigerator. When you need celery, get it out, unfold and use. When you are finished, just fold it back up and crunch again. As you use more and more and your celery bunch gets smaller and smaller, it will stick better when you crunch it.
